The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a statutory body that is constituted in every higher education institution (HEI) in India. The IQAC is responsible for the continuous improvement of the quality of academic and administrative processes in the HEI.

As per NAAC, the composition of the IQAC for an affiliated college should be as follows:

Chairperson: Head of the Institution

A few senior administrative officers: This could include the Vice-Principal, Registrar, Dean of Academics, Dean of Students, etc.

Three to eight teachers: These teachers should be selected from different departments and should have a good track record of teaching and research.

One member from the Management: This could be a representative of the governing body of the college or a member of the college's management team.

One/two nominees from local society, Students and Alumni: These nominees should be people who are respected members of the local community or who have a strong interest in the college.

One/two nominees from Employers /Industrialists/stakeholders: These nominees should be representatives of organizations that employ graduates of the college or who have a strong interest in the college's programs.

One of the senior teachers as the coordinator/Director of the IQAC: The coordinator of the IQAC should be a senior teacher who is experienced in quality assurance and who has the time and commitment to devote to the work of the IQAC.

It is important to note that the composition of the IQAC may vary slightly depending on the size and type of the affiliated college. However, the general principles outlined above should be followed.
